Monitor BigQuery Metrics.
Get Slack Alerts Automatically.

Stop building Cloud Scheduler + Pub/Sub + BigQuery → Slack pipelines by hand. Lighthouse watches your business metrics natively and pings you the moment something moves.

Google Cloud monitoring covers infra.
Your business metrics are on their own.

Cloud Monitoring handles latency, errors, and uptime. It has nothing to say about your DAU, GMV, or conversion rates.

Building alerting pipelines takes weeks

Cloud Scheduler → BigQuery → Pub/Sub → Cloud Functions → Slack is a real architecture. It works until something breaks silently at 2am and nobody notices for three days.

Every new alert is an engineering ticket

When a PM wants to know if signups drop by 20%, they file a ticket. Engineers have other priorities. The metric goes unwatched for weeks.

Data Studio alerts are static and noisy

Static percentage thresholds fire on every holiday, weekend, and campaign spike. Teams tune them out. The one real drop gets buried in the noise.

How it works

From BigQuery to Slack alert in 10 minutes.

01

Connect BigQuery

Add your GCP project ID and grant read-only IAM access. Lighthouse scans your datasets and surfaces relevant tables and views automatically.

02

Describe your metric

Type 'checkout conversion rate, hourly' or 'app errors in the last 10 minutes.' Lighthouse generates the BigQuery SQL — partition filters included — and configures adaptive baselines.

03

Get pinged in Slack

When your metric drops past its threshold, Lighthouse fires a Slack alert with current value, baseline, change percentage, segment, and compare period.

Everything your team needs. Nothing they don't.

Native BigQuery connector

Connect with read-only IAM credentials. Lighthouse reads your dataset schemas and generates queries automatically — no manual configuration.

Handles complex BigQuery SQL

Lighthouse generates production-grade BigQuery SQL including CTEs, window functions, UNNEST, partitioned table filters, and nested structs.

Day-of-week baseline learning

BigQuery data has strong weekly seasonality. Lighthouse learns your patterns and compares Tuesday to the last 4 Tuesdays — not yesterday.

Rich Slack alerts

Every alert includes current value, baseline, percentage change, threshold, compare period, and segment. Full context, no dashboard required.

Multi-project support

Monitor metrics across multiple GCP projects from a single Lighthouse workspace. Useful for teams with separate dev, staging, and prod datasets.

No ongoing maintenance

When your schema changes, Lighthouse adapts. No stale cron jobs, no broken Pub/Sub subscriptions, no on-call alerts about the alerting system itself.

We set up a checkout conversion metric in 10 minutes. By noon the same day, Lighthouse caught a drop we would have missed until the weekly review.

Common questions

Do I need to grant BigQuery Data Editor access?

No. Lighthouse only requires the BigQuery Data Viewer and BigQuery Job User roles. We read schema metadata and run SELECT queries — never write to your tables.

How does Lighthouse handle BigQuery partitioned tables?

Lighthouse automatically adds partition filters to queries on partitioned tables, preventing full-table scans and keeping your BigQuery costs low.

Can I monitor metrics across multiple GCP projects?

Yes. You can connect multiple BigQuery projects to a single Lighthouse workspace and manage metrics from all of them in one place.

Is this different from Looker Studio alerts?

Looker Studio alerts use static thresholds and only trigger when you're looking at the report. Lighthouse runs continuously, learns seasonal baselines, and pushes proactive Slack alerts — no dashboard visit required.

Will Lighthouse increase my BigQuery costs?

Minimally. Lighthouse runs one optimized query per metric per monitoring window (typically hourly). Partition filters are applied automatically. Most teams see less than $5/month in additional BigQuery costs.
